SAMBA, Mar 9: Member Parliament (MP) Jammu-Poonch constituency Madan Lal Sharma said that Coalition Government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has played a significant role in ensuring development of all the regions of State.
He said this while addressing public gathering at Sum, Goran and Nankechak areas of the district.
Sharma added that it is for the first time Jammu region got its due share in the shape of administrative units and other developmental programmes.
Coalition Government will win all Parliamentary seats in the State particularly Jammu-Poonch, as both Centre and State Government have come to the expectations of the people, he said.
Sharma further stated that during his tenure he managed and submitted the project to the concerned Ministry at the Centre to bring Baba Goran–a religious place on the map of tourism and he will continue his efforts till the goal is achieved.
He said that Centre had opened the flood gates of treasure for strengthening and supporting various infrastructural projects and poverty elevation schemes.
Maintaining that ensuing elections are being fought by both the alliance partners, Congress and National Conference, MP said that this will auger well for the State and further strengthen the bonds of Secularism.
Sharma cautioned people to beware of the divisive people on the name of religion or region for their vested interest.
He said that BJP has no stake in the State except giving hollow slogans and voting for such a party is wasting the vote. He asked the people to make best use of their vote and elect the Congress Party again.
Sharma said that the continuous efforts of Congress and their follow-up had made Jammu Railway Division a reality.
He said that he had strongly pleaded the issues of refugees, border people in the Parliament and he will not remain silent till the same are resolved.
