SHOPIAN, Nov 9: Municipality Authority of district Shopian is sleeping over defacement of Government buildings by some private coaching centers here.
A number of Government buildings, especially educational institutions and their gates are seen covered with posters of various private coaching centers in the district. The front gate of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Shopian and some other schools have been defaced with such posters to the extent that names of these educational institutions are not visible.
Shopkeepers and residents of Shopian are too irked by these coaching center advertisements on their shops and houses.
Even as the matter in this regard has been repeatedly brought into the notice of Municipal Authorities by the locals and shop owners, no action was initiated against the Advertisers.
