UDHAMPUR, Mar 4: A Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on “Sudden Death -Can it be prevented? ” was organised at Army’s Northern Command Hospital (NCH) on March 3 and 4.
The objective of the programme was to update doctors from various service hospitals in the country on identification and prevention of individuals who look apparently healthy but may be at risk of ‘sudden death’ and impart latest research in the field of sudden death on a single platform.
The programme was inaugurated by Lt Gen, D Anbu, Northern Army Commander and Lt Gen Velu Nair, DGMS (Army) who is an eminent hematologist of international repute. He gave the key note address.
The programme which was attended by over 125 delegates from across the country discussed the risk factors involved and strategies, producers and protocols to be followed and implemented to prevent/ reduce the risk of ” sudden death”. The programme is accredited ’06’ credit points by the Jammu & Kashmir Medical Council.
