SRINAGAR, Dec 5: Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah alongwith Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Dr. Farooq Abdullah today visited SMHS Hospital and inaugurated the newly installed modern eye equipment Eximer Laser (LASIK) worth Rs. 3 crore.
The funds for the purchase of the equipment have been provided by Dr. Farooq Abdullah out of his Parliament Member’s Constituency Development Fund.
The Chief Minister and Union Minister also received brief about the functioning of the hospital. They were apprised of the usefulness of new eye equipment installed in the Eye Department and its usefulness for the patients.
Omar Abdullah and Dr. Farooq Abdullah visited various units and interacted with patients and doctors.
