Manohar tours Billawar villages, takes stock of people’s problems

KATHUA, May 7: Former Minister, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma conducted an extensive tour of different villages of the Kandi belt of Billawar and took stock of the problems being faced by the people.
The villages toured by Dr Sharma include Bhaiya, Patyari, Nala Thangar, Dhode in Magloor Panchayat and Thamnal, Seri Mooni, Manger Dharalta, Bhaddu, Agli Dhar, Narra in Barota, Thara Kalyal, Mandli, Deval and Durung.
During the tour, the former Minister participated in various social and religious functions and interacted with the local people, Panchs, Sarpanchs and prominent leaders of the area, who apprised Dr Sharma about the problems faced by the people of the areas on day to day basis.
Dr Sharma, while interacting with the people, came heavily on the BJP-PDP Government for their wrong and anti-people policies due to which the general masses are suffering badly even for minor day to day problems as such and the height is, nobody is bothering to even listen and address the grievances of the people on ground.
The former Minister strongly criticized the present dispensation both at national as well as State level for poor implementation of all Government schemes. He said that even those schemes which had already been initiated by the previous Government have been left midway.
He said that a number of projects of public importance funded under Central sponsored and State sector schemes have been left midway without any reason by the Government because of their ulterior political motive.
Dr Sharma level serious charges against BJP and its leadership for befooling the people on the slogan “Sab ka sath Sab ka Vikas”, stating that they only believe in the ‘vikas’ of their own people on the cost of nation and the general public.
