JAMMU, Oct 17: A joint meeting of the representatives of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association was held here today under the chairmanship of Babu Hussain Malik its State president in which various problems of the clerics was discussed.
As per a release, the meeting accused the Government of deliberately backtracking from the commitment made with the employees in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 wherein it was promised to fulfill all the pending demands of employees including removal of pay anomalies /disparity of clerical cadre but nothing has been done till date in this regard.
The meeting said the Pay Anomalies Committee made by the Government was an eye wash just to befool the clerical cadre employees.
After the Fifth Pay Commission the pay scale of patwaris, teachers, medical assistants, stock assistants, junior wool shepherds etc whose basic qualification is 10th and 12th were upgraded while the clerical cadre was ignored.
The meeting demanded removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre by giving 4000-6000 grade to junior assistants, 4500-7000 to senior assistants and 5500 -9000 to head assistants, release of pending DA, increase of Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 formation of policy for regularization of adhoc/ daily rated workers.
The meeting among others was addressed by Khurshid Ahmed Diwani, Javed Ahmed Akhoon, Bharat Bushan, Seva Ram Rathroe, Jaswant Singh, Meenakshi Sharma, Vipan Kumar etc.
