JAMMU, Oct 17: District Udhampur won the State Level Inter District Volleyball Tournament for Girls organized by the District Youth Services and Sports Office, Reasi at Zorawar Sports Stadium, Reasi.
In the closing ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Dr Shabir Ahmed Bhat was the chief guest while the District Treasury Officer was the guest of honour and principal, Girls Higher Secondary School, PD Sharma was the special guest.
In the final match of the tournament, District Udhampur registered an easy win over the girls of Rajouri district by 3-0. Lalita Devi of Udhampur was adjudged as the best player of the tournament.
Earlier, the two semifinal matches were played between Rajouri and Jammu, and Samba and Udhampur. The whole tournament was conducted under the overall supervision of Dr SS Chib, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Reasi.
