JAMMU, Nov 20: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today asked the mainstream political parties to clear their stands regarding regularization of the services of 62 thousand casual, seasonal labourers, adhoc and contractual employees and others long pending demands of the Government employees and pensioners.
Addressing a largely attended rally, Shastri demanded that these parties should incorporate their firm stand regarding the fate of these workers and other demands of the Government employees and pensioners in their election manifesto.
He reiterated the demands of employees including release of pending installments of 17 per cent DA due from January and July, implementation of CP Fund scheme, declaration of 7th Pay Commission as a National Pay Commission, amendment in SRO 64, reorganizing of Floriculture Department beside granting technical grades, providing uniform and clearing all GP Fund bills of gardeners lying pending in additional treasury New Plot.
He said that political parties should make mention of these issues in their election manifestoes as these issues will be a major political plank in the coming election of Assembly polls.
Among others, who spoke were Ragupal, Madan Lal, Darshan Baba, Tilak Raj, Mohammad Shafi, Jento Ram, Surinder Kumar, Barkat Ram, etc.
