The process of forced retirement initiated in the State obviously sends a message of determination on the part of the Govt. that corrupt officers/officials can’t be allowed to serve any longer. In fact, defunctness of an administration at any stage is always due to failing abilities of the concerned officers.
Removal of tainted officers involved in corrupt practices and dereliction of duties is indeed a very bold and commendable step. Corruption is a serious blot in the society and derails entire system of governance.
Democracy thrives on good citizenship and not on those lacking integrity, dedication and love for the motherland. The mentality of corruption as developed in the society, deserves to be eradicated by all such measures no matter howsoever bitter they may seem. For good governance zero tolerance to this evil is only remedy as no system can be properly implemented where it (corruption) prevails.
