REasi, Dec 30: Chief Judicial Magistrate Reasi Archna Charak rejected the bail plea of NDPS accused namely Nasir Ahmed, son of Ghani Mohd Cheer Khad, Tehsil Vijaypur, District Samba involved in sale/purchase of heroin in case FIR No.218/2023 Under Section 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act of Police Station Reasi.
The bail application was resisted by Additional Public Prosecutor Ashwani Kumar by filing objections stating therein that police recovered one gram heroin from the possession of co-accused namely Kulbir Singh and 2.31 gram from possession of accused Nasir Ahmed who is also involved in the sale/purchase of heroin from last one year for monetary benefits
APP further stated that investigation of the case is at its infancy, moreover menace of use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances so as to destroy the social fiber has to be dealt with iron hands, therefore prayed for the rejection of bail application of accused Nasir Ahmed.
It was further stated that accused Nasir Ahmed is milkman by profession and is the main kingpin involved in sale purchase of drugs and investigation with regard to some bank transaction by the accused Nasir Ahmed is still going on.
Court took strong note of the offences registered against the accused and rejected his bail application.
