KARGIL, June 7: Principal District and Sessions Judge Kargil Sanjiv Kumar Bhagat today chaired a meeting to discuss the arrangements put in place for the forthcoming visit of the Chief Justice J&K High Court and Judges from the Supreme Court and J&K High Court to the district during the current month.
Judges from the Supreme Court of India Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice N.V Ramana, Chief Justice J&K High Court Alok Aradhe, Judges of J&K High Court Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Justice Tashi Rabstan and Justice M.K Hanjura, Registrar General J&K High Court, Principal Secretary to Chief Justice J&K High Court and other dignitaries are scheduled to arrive on 21st June, in the district to attend a mega legal awareness camp at Hussaini Park Kargil.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Kargil Spalzes Angmo, Additi-onal Superintendent of Police Kargil Arun Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Imteeaz Kacho, Munsiff Sankoo Muneer Ahmad, representatives of Islamia School Kargil (ISK) and Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) Kargil, concerned district officers besides representatives of various NGOs were present in the meeting.
The Principal and District Sessions Judge took a brief from the officers of the Judiciary, district administration, security and police about the necessary arrangements. He directed the concerned departments to ensure that all arrangements are made well in time so that the mega legal awareness programme is held without any disruptions.
It was decided in the meeting that different departments like Social Welfare, ICDS, Labour, Municipality, Education, Handi-crafts, Handlooms, Agriculture, Horticulture and other departments would put up stalls to highlight different beneficiary oriented Central and State Government schemes for the larger benefit of the general public.
It was further decided that health screening, consultancy and blood donation and screening camps would be set up by the Health Department.
