JAMMU, Jan 13: A civilian was injured in a mine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) at village Bigial Dara in Poonch district this afternoon.
The injured has been identified as Mohammad Bashir son of Mir Mohammad, a resident of Bigial Dara.
Official reports said the civilian stepped over the mine while grazing cattle in the forward village this afternoon leading to powerful explosion in which his leg was blown off.
Army personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to hospital, where his condition was stated to be serious.
Police have registered a case in the blast and started investigations.
