Civil Society initiative a step in right direction: PRP

Excelsior Correspondent
SRINAGAR, Oct 25: Terming the initiative taken by the civil society of the country which has send a five member delegation to Kashmir led by former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha to Kashmir, Peoples Republican Party (PRP) said it is a step in right direction as this will help in brining people from different shades of opinion on a negotiating table.
The PRP chief, Mir Ghulam Rasool while commenting on the initiative of civil society said the dialogue and not the violence is the solution to every problem. He said 27 year long turmoil has not done any thing good to the State and over three month long unrest in Valley has affected every section of society including farmers, traders, hoteliers and orchardists while the student community has been worst hit by it.
Mir said his Party is open to dialogue to resolve the present crisis and he appealed the leaders of other organizations to come forward for the same as people of the State have suffered a lot over two decade long turmoil.
He also favoured that India and Pakistan should also settle the issue through dialogue process so that people of two countries can lead a peaceful life in future so that the designs of those forces who want that the hostilities between two countries should continue for their vested interests are defeated.
