Civil Society holds protest

KISHTWAR, Oct 13: Civil Society today lodged protest here against district administration and Health Department authorities for their failure to repair the CT scan machine of District Hospital Kishtwar.
The protestors assembled in front of District Hospital Kishtwar and held protest. They raised slogans against the district administration and Health Department authorities.
They alleged that the only CT scan machine in District Hospital Kishtwar is non functional since last several months and patients have to go Jammu or Srinagar for the tests.
“Number of times, the issue was brought into the knowledge of concerned authorities but nobody responded forcing them to lodge protest today”, the protestors said.
They threatened that if the CT scan machine is not made functional they will be forced to lodge agitation and for any untoward incident, the authorities will be responsible.
Prominent among the speakers were Shaqir Sidiqui, Irshad Giri and Naseer Bagwan.
