Civil Sectt Employees Union to boycott Darbar Move meet

JAMMU, Apr 16: The J&K Civil Secretariat (NG) Employees Union has decided to boycott the coming review meeting of the annual Darbar Move being held tomorrow.
A spokesman of the Union said that the decision in this connection was taken after a meeting of the Union held under the leadership of  Ghulam Rasool Mir president, Maqbool Hussain vice chairman and Thanna Ji Bhat general secretary. The Union in a communiqué to the Chief Secretary today conveyed its decision as many decisions taken in various meetings with regard to welfare of the employees were still pending implementation.
Some of the decisions included accommodation to the move employees with  preference to women and disabled employees; construction of more quarters/ flats   at Pampore, Tulsi Bagh, Amar Singh Ahata, Sarwal Poonch House, Old BC Road and Subhash Nagar;  removal of  pay anomalies of clerical cadre before implementation of  7th Pay Commission report;  cadre review and career progression; detachment of attached staff in Civil Secretariat etc.
