CII delegation calls on Comm/Secy Industries

JAMMU, Jan 10: A delegation of CII J&K Council called on Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner /Secretary to Government, Industries and Commerce Department, J&K.
The delegation led by its chairman J&K state council, Rajesh Sharma apprised him about the issues being faced by Industrial members and requested him to take up the same.
The issues discussed included speeding up of release of payment to MSME units maintenance and developmental of strategic essential commodity and Agro-based Industries in J&K, taxing walnut wholes at a rate lower than on the finished product i.e. walnut kernels, issue of disparity with respect to GST refund/ budgetary support faced by the existing manufacturing units in J&K.
Dwivedi gave a patient hearing to all the issues and assured that the department is already working towards resolving all genuine concerns of the industry.
The CII delegation also included, Waseem Trumboo, Ravnish Gulati, Asif Burza, Gagan Jain and Arun Gupta.
