JAMMU, Jan 11: In the continuous endeavor of building a sustainable eco-system for startups, CII has proposed the setting up of Incubation Centers in the upcoming IIT Jammu and Udyog Bhawan premises to Rajinder Singh Tara, Director Industries, Jammu.
“Incubation centers can help in motivating students and aspiring entrepreneurs to convert their innovative business ideas into a well-shaped business venture in minimum resources. These Incubation Centers will provide all the required resources and support, including mentorship, funding support, infrastructure support to the students to become entrepreneurs.
CII has played a pivotal role in building startup eco-system in many States. In J&K also, we can provide all kind of support to the budding entrepreneurs. A struggling entrepreneur can also take benefit from these centers”, shared Shiekh Imran, Chairman, CII, J&K State Council.
Reputed institutes all over the country, in various states, have been working as incubation centers for not only nurturing quality education, but also endeavoring to transform this quality education into a business reality, paving ways to industrialization and economic development.
With this view, CII encourages the setting up of Incubation center in such esteemed institution which will help in accelerating the economic growth of the State, creating social benefits and encourage innovation. Not only this, it will help leading the youth from learning to earning.
“Udyog Bhawan is a State of art building for such an initiative. Under the worthy leadership of Industries Minister, I am hopeful this initiative will be a game changer for our State. Central University, Jammu and SMVDU already have incubators in their buildings, however the industry connect and the promotion of these incubators are still required at the higher level.
