JAMMU, Dec 25: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chairman State Media Coordination Committee and State spokesperson, Dr. Nawab Nasir today said that fresh statement by BJP leader, Tarun Chugh is another attempt to confuse the scenario in J&K and to keep stirring uncertainty over the demand for holding Assembly elections.
Addressing a press conference here Dr. Nawab quoted a news report to say that Chugh has dropped hint of holding Assembly elections in J&K after some months next year.
“J&K has been pushed into a state of uncertainty and chaos and BJP has done nothing except creating a situation of uncertainty and to confuse the people to hide its failures,” he maintained adding: “The biggest confusion sparked by BJP in J&K is on the name of holding Assembly elections as people here are demanding polls since past some years but BJP is continuing proxy rule through LG administration.”
The AAP leader claimed that rule of BJP is one of the worst in the history of J&K where public grievances redressal mechanism is on its low and there is no accountability within the bureaucratic setup for public services delivery system.
He said that fresh statement by Chugh is nothing but an attempt to befool masses.
Dr. Nawab said that Election Commission of India (ECI) is also responsible for this mess as it is maintaining silence which is further spreading uncertainty.
“ECI should come forward, clear its stand and make public announcement regarding schedule for holding Assembly elections in J&K,” he further said.
