Christians protest against atrocities on community at Delhi

JAMMU, Dec 2: A massive protest was held at Residency Road by the Christian community against the atrocities on the fellow members of the community at New Delhi and also against the controversial statement made by Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, MP, in the Parliament today.
A large number of people belonging to Christian community including men, women, youth and children carrying placards participated in the protest demonstration.
Speaking on the occasion, Thomas Khokhar, Michael Wazir and Nasir Masih, leaders of Christian community, expressed their resentment over the atrocities committed on the fellow Christians at New Delhi today.
While speaking on the occasion, Michael Wazir said that though we are living in a secular country but we feel like refugees in our motherland and appealed to the Government of India that proper security should be provided to the Christian minority community in all over the country.
They demanded immediate probe into the matter and arrest of those involved in the unwanted incidents of violence against the Christian community.
Later, and the members of Christians community burnt the effigy of Union Government and shouted slogans against the Government.
