This has reference to the news item ‘ 12 hurt in lathicharge, 100 arrested ‘ DE Jan 11.
The Government should address the genuine demands of the State employees without wasting much time. This is because many working days get lost during strike days. The worst sufferer is the common man.
His day to day problems get stuck in the files and he finds himself helpless as no one hears his tale of woes. It has also been seen that the Government concedes to the demands of people when they come on the streets. Is it not better to redress the grievances of the employees without wasting time, dilly dallying tactics and without forcing employees to choose the agitational path.
The employee leaders too should raise only those probems which do not pose problems to the Government. A middle path is the viable solution.
