JAMMU, Apr 21: All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum (ADKUF) organized an impressive socio- cultural programme here at Durga Nagar, today. It was aimed to give an opportunity to community children to express themselves in Sanatani identity and give vent to all that they have been taught by their parents and Dharam Gurus with respect to preservation, promotion and transmission of cultural values and identity.
Enthusiastic participating children delivered lectures on various important religious issues and also recited Vedic Mantras and Hanuman Chalisa.
The function was presided over by senior Kashmiri Pandit leader and RSS ideologue, Moti Lal Malla.
In the first outset Desha Bhat presented Saraswati Vandana which was followed by Deep Prajwalan. Specially invited Radesh Dass Ji Maharaj of Sri Govind Jee Goudia
Math of Chinore Jammu threw light on Sanatani Parampara and need for its preservation by quoting Vedic Texts. Welcome address was presented by P L Swadeshi, ADKUF president. MK Yogi, Sundari Lal Koul, Kuldeep Raina, Com. Mohan Lal, Bihari Lal Raina , M K Razdan, P L Pandita, Raja Ji, the community leaders and social activists were the guests of honour on this occasion. Shadi Lal Koul, president, Mata Sedh Laxmi Peeth,a renowned writer, Makhan Lal Pandita and Prof. G L Koul chief advisor of ADKUF also attended the function as special invitees.
M K Yogi and Sundari Lal Koul speaking on the occasion stressed upon ADKUF to remain organizing such functions in future too which would yield better results. In his presidential address Moti Lal Malla stressed on undertaking such community programmes and complimented ADKUF for taking the initiative. He also made an appeal to the KP Community to teach their children in the light of Sanatan Dharam and encourage them to take part in such kind of programmes.
The participating children were presented trophies and certificates of appreciation by Team ADKUF.
A large number of community men, women and children attended the function.
