MENDHAR, Nov 10: A three-years-old child died after he was drowned in an underground water tank in Mendhar town of district Poonch today.
The incident took place when some children were playing near an open water tank at a construction site in Saria Market area of Mendhar town today. Minor Shariz Ahmed, son of Mohd Shafiq, resident of Bhagiot village, at present Mendhar town, fell into the tank. Later, he was fished out from the tank and rushed to Mendhar hospital where doctors declared him as dead. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
