Chief Secy interacts with civil society at Nagri-Parole

KATHUA, Nov 27: The ‘civil society’ of Nagri-Parole, Kathua, interacted with the Chief Secretary of the State B R Sharma, during his visit in his home town at Nagri-Parole.
The Chief Secretary accompanied by his wife was extended a rousing reception by the people of Nagri-Parole and profusely garlanded by the locals. The function started with the lighting of the lamp and students of the National Public School presented Vandana.
Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, Organising Secretary, presented welcome address along with the formal Citation to honour B R Sharma in his home town.
Chairman, Organizing Committee, R L Bharti, while welcoming the chief guest also presented a Charter of Demands which included construction of Stadium in the town; Embankment of the local stream and creating a walking path along it to cater to the need of morning walkers. He also demanded to fill up the vacancies of the specialized doctors in the local SDH which is devoid of any specialist.
Memorendum also included developing the local pilgrimages both historical Airawati Temple and Mata Bala Sundri temple from pilgrim tourism point of view.
Deputy Commissioner Kathua Romesh Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
Chief Secretary, while speaking expressed his gratitude to the Nagri-Parole Civil Society for the honour and respect extended by them and assured that all the genuine demands of the town shall be taken up at  priority and appropriate solution shall be made. He also assured the public that he is available for any genuine cause of the town . He became nostalgic while speaking in his home town and could not resist his tears. His wife Ruby Sharma also accompanied.
Those who spoke on the occasion included Kulbhushan Kumar, Jeewan Sharma, Mohan Lal and Master Harsharan.
