JAMMU, Dec 26: Chief Engineer PW (R&B) Jammu, Manzoor Hussain along with
Rajesh Bhagat, Executive Engineer Const Div.No-2 and Assistant Executive Engineer, Nagrota Sub Division , Abhishek Gupta visited Jindrah area today and reviewed progress of work on several roads.
On the initiative of Anil Sharma, president All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference and Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Jindrah, the team conducted tour and had on the spot assessment of work.
During his visit several delegations of the villagers met the Chief Engineer and projected their road related issues. They also put forth demand of repairing different roads of their villages.
Anil Sharma, the president AJKPC appreciated the officers and said that the visit of such senior officers in the Panchayat would encourage the elected members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions.
During the visit the Chief Engineer also took note of the old Kali Mata temple road , that could be made traffic able connecting Jindrah with Udhampur for providing a big relief to huge chunk of population of Jindrah, Udhampur, Nagola, Dhan, Pounthal, Saruinsar and other nearby areas of Block Dansal. This road would also ease out some traffic burden of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The Chief Engineer said all genuine demands of the villagers regarding construction of new and repair of old roads would be considered rationally in a phased manner.
Other demands for repair and construction of new roads include road from Jandrah Chaka Mandi to Gaan via Sulnia, Madaal and Bharga to Challar via Sartnia, Chakla, Nakki Jandrah Devak to Panwali via Kulynia, Devak to Baba Paed via Sely, Chack Bagwani, Sari, Khurdh , Jaib, Shiv Mandir Jindrah to Sley BT under Capex budget.
The prominent locals who were present during the visit of the delegation of PWD officers include Mohan Lal Verma, Haji Rafiq, Haji Bashir, Onkar Singh, Som Dutt, Dr Sunil Sharma, Keemat Raj,Brij Mohan, Rameshwar Singh, Dewan Chand, Deepak Kumar, Sardar Ali, Bal Krishan Sharma, Chaman Singh, Pardeep Singh, Anil Sharma, Sahil Sharma and others.
