Chib bats for Azad, addresses series of meetings

HIRANAGAR, Apr 14: Former Minister and senior Congress leader, RS Chib along with senior leaders of National Conference and Congress Party today conducted series of meetings in Hiranagar and adjoining areas and sought support of the people for dynamic Congress leader, Ghulam Nabi Azad, the party’s candidate for Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha seat.
Addressing series of meetings at Hiranagar, Indira Nagar, Bassi Jamwal, Mathura Chak and Bani Chungi, the areas of Hiranagar Assembly constituency, Mr Chib appealed the people to support the Congress candidate for good health of the State and defeat the BJP for having no agenda, rather than the communal one.
Recalling the tenure of Ghulam Nabi Azad as Chief Minister of the State, Mr Chib described it as the golden period of State’s history with regard to development.
He said it was Ghulam Nabi Azad-led State Government, which created new districts, established new Degree Colleges and initiated new work culture with regard to connectivity of roads and allied things.
Mr Chib further said that Mr Azad left no stone unturned in solving the long and pending issues of the refugees of 1947, 65, 71 and so on, adding that the sheer-dint of hard-work and consistent efforts by Mr Azad helped the State to get five Medical Colleges and one of them is being established in Kathua.
Advocating for Azad’s credibility and dynamism, Mr Chib said that the Parliament needs those people who can project the issues in most vibrant manner.
The former Minister was accompanied by galaxy of senior leaders of Congress and National Conference including Bharti Sharma, Surjeet Singh, Prem Rattan Sharma, Sonia Devi, Ch Balbir Singh, Udhay Singh, Prem Singh and Tilak Raj Dogra.
