UDHAMPUR, July 2: A meeting of Congress workers from Chenani-Ghordi Assembly constituency was held under the chairmanship of MLA Krishan Chander Bhagat, here today.
During the meeting, Congress workers highlighted the local grievances, like unscheduled power cuts, scarcity of drinking water, irregular supply of food grains in the ration depots, non-implementation of Social Welfare Department and Central schemes under Rural Development Department.
The MLA assured the workers that he would bring all these issues into the notice of concerned higher authorities for immediate redressal. He appealed the party workers to work hard for strengthening the party at grass root level.
Those who addressed the meeting included Sarpanch Shashi Manhas, Sarpanch Ashok Sharma, Block Congress Committee president of Chenani Thakur Rasal Singh, BCC president Ghordi Des Raj, BCC president Panchari Thakur Rasal Singh, Ved Parkash Sharma and Master Govind Ram.
