JAMMU, Mar 10: A student of class 12th allegedly escaped from his allotted examination centre at Sher-e-Kashmir Higher Secondary School, Bari Brahmana along with his Chemistry answer sheet today. However, the student’s family in a complaint to police station Bari Brahmana alleged that the Superintendent along with allied staff and Principal of the institution demanded money to settle the issue.
As per sources, Avinash Jamwal, a class 12th student of SP Smart Higher Secondary School, Bari Brahmana having roll number 864796 attended the Chemistry paper today at its allotted centre–Sher-e-Kashmir Higher Secondary School, Bari Brahmana today.
After completing the paper and submitting the answer sheet to the Superintendent, the student left for his home and on the way he received a call stating that his answer sheet was missing.
“I received a call and the man calling said that my Chemistry paper is missing. He demanded money for settling the issue”, Jamwal said while talking to Excelsior.
He added that the Superintendent along with other staff appointed at the examination and Principal of the institution were demanding money from him in lieu of smooth conduct of his papers.
“The caller asked me to pay money stating that he would settle his missing paper issue and will also cooperate with him in rest of the papers”, he added.
When contacted SHO police station Bari Brahmana Showkat Bhat said that Superintendent of the centre has lodged a written complaint alleging that the class 12th student namely Avinash Jamwal fled from the examination centre along with the answer sheet today.
“We will register a case under relevant Sections of RPC after verifying the facts”, he added.
Meanwhile, family members of the student also submitted a complaint against staff deputed at the centre for demanding money.
