JAMMU, Mar 27: Former Minister, president Dogra Saddar Sabha and chairman, Purmandal/ Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee, Gulchain Singh Charak has said that on the occasion of Chetra Krishan Chaturdashi, holy Charri Yatra would be taken to the famous religious place -Purmandal and Utterbehni on March 29.
Addressing press conference along with members of Dharamarth Trust J&K at Dogra Saddar Sabha here today, Mr Charak elaborated the whole programme and said that `Charri Pooja’ will be performed tomorrow (on March 28) at 4 pm at Shri Ranbireshwar temple Jammu and the next day on March 29, at around 8 am the holy Charri will be taken to Shri Lakshmi Narayan temple, Gandhi Nagar via Shri Raghunathji Temple.
He further disclosed that after performing Pooja at Shri Lakshmi Narayan temple Gandhinagar on March 29, 2014 at 8.40 am under the guidance of `Sant Mahatmas’ , Charri will be taken in a specially designed rath/ vehicle in a procession to the historical shrines of Purmandal via Mahadev Mandir Gandhi Nagar. Shiv Mandir Sector -I Trikuta Nagar, Shiv Shakti Mandir Greater Kailash , Shri Data Dev Mandir and Shri Narsingh Dev Mandir Birpur.
A large number of Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims and Christians have arranged the befitting reception to the Yatra at Kharha Madana, en-route shrine. He and members of the Trust issued appeal to the people to participate in this grand religious programme. He also appealed to the District Administration Jammu and Samba besides PDD, PHE, Transport, Traffic and Tourism authorities to render support for the pilgrims.
