JAMMU, Sept 22: ADDC Jammu, G.N. Balwan today chaired an officers meeting to discuss arrangements being put in place for annual Charri Yatra, in connection with Navratras, to be organized on September 25, 2014.
During the meeting, various issues for smooth conduct of Charri Yatra were discussed which included security arrangements, barricading, health, sanitation, electricity, drinking water, traffic regulation. Besides, other related points were also deliberated upon.
The Health Department was asked to keep stationed ambulances and medical teams at the venue and enroute yatra while PHE and PDD were directed to ensure drinking water and uninterrupted power supply during the yatra.
The ADDC instructed the concerned authorities to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation.
Besides, the officers of respective departments were directed to ensure that necessary arrangements are put in place well in time for smooth conduct of Charri Yatra.
ADC Jammu, K.S. Parihar, AC (G), Shehnaz Chowdhary and other officers were present in the meeting.
