SRINAGAR, Aug 31: Vigilance Organization Kashmir today presented charge sheet against the Section Officer in Electric Division, Kulgam, who was caught red handed accepting bribe.
Challan in case FIR No. 18/2012 of P/S VOK, under Section 5(1) (d) r/w Sec. 5(2) J&K PC Act Svt. 2006 and Section 161 RPC, was produced before the Court of Additional Special Judge, Anti-corruption Court Anantnag, against the accused Section Officer Mushtaq Ahmad Koul,
The accused official has demanded and accepted bribe of Rs 7000/- from one Akther Hussain Shah for sanctioning electric connection of the industrial unit under name and style “Shaheen Enterprises” on the name of the complainant’s wife.
The charge sheet (Challan) against the said public servant was produced before the court under Section 173 Cr PC for the commission of offences.
