JAMMU, May 13: State Intelligence Agency (SIA) today filed charge sheet in Nagrota terror funding case against two accused Mouzam Parvez Malik and Unar Farooq Malik both residents of Dalipora Pulwama.
The accused were arrested by Nagrota Police at Sidhra from a passenger taxi based on an information that JEM associates were travelling with cash received from Punjab.
Police had recovered Rs. 15 lakh from the duo.
The investigation of the case was handed over to SIA in January 2022 and investigations have revealed the nexus between Punjab based accused and JEM associates in Kashmir.
The name of Ashiq Nengroo who was recently proscribed as a designated terrorist by orders of MHA has figured as the mastermind of the JEM terror financing module.
Two persons from Punjab have also been arrested in the case and are currently lodged in jail while a third Punjab based accused is absconding.
The investigations have revealed the role of more persons and the case will be under investigation and the agency will proceed according to 173(8) CrPC and file supplementary charge sheet against Ashiq Nengroo and others.
