KATHUA, Mar 6: Hiranagar police has arrested a charas smuggler and recovered 450 grams of charas from his possession during its surprise checking at Londi Morh link road today.
He has been identified as Rohit Singh @ Sonu, Son of Karan Singh of Chhan Khatriyan, tehsil Hiranagar.
According to police the checking was conducted by a team of Hiranagar police Station under the supervision of SDPO Border, Diwakar Singh. The Police said Rohit was involved in selling the charas in the area and police had received many complaints of the same. A special team laid a naka on the road and arrested him. A Case FIR No 23/2015 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered against him at Hiranagar Police Station and investigation started.
