JAMMU, Apr 24: Th. Gulc-hain Singh Charak former Minister and president Dogra Sadar Sabha and chairman of Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust during the concluding Bhagwat Katha Saptah at Shri Data Ranpat Dev Sathan Bishnah Honoured Ganisham Shastri a renowned “Katha Wachak” in Dogri Language.
Speaking on the occasion he said that this is the matter of great satisfaction that Ganisham Shastri has started performing katha in Dogri language in a simple way to explain about the most important Granth i.e, Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta which teaches the way of life and performing his duty in the society. He further said that this is the only Granth which has been brought in the shape of a dialogue between Lord Krishna & Arjuna in the Battle-field when both the Armies were standing facing each other and ready to fight.
Congratulating Shastri Mr. Charak said without expecting any award from the people he should carry on this pious duty for delivering the religious discourses. Earlier on reaching the town Charak was given a befitting welcome by the prominent persons of the town by garlanding him under the leadership G.L. Sharma.
