JAMMU, July 12: Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena has criticized the State Government for its discrimination with the Jammu region with regard to development and progress and reminded for proper utilization of funds for beautification of Ragunath Bazar, here today.
Stating this in jointly addressed press conference by Vipin Hindu, Ashwani Gupta, Vikas Dewan and Rakesh Kak, they said funds released by the Government for the beautification of the historical Ragunath Bazar were not being properly utilized while in District Development Board meeting, more funds were sanctioned for its beautification and its fate still hangs in air.
The PDD was supposed to erect new poles and replace conductors and other related works but those were not done up to the mark and thus the public money has gone down the drain. This shows that the project has been started in unplanned manner.
Ashwani Gupta the working president, Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena said that the UEED was supposed to lay pipes for drainage as well as for rain water collection, but no one knows where the pipes are laid.
The BSNL Departmental works were not up to the standard and one can visit the bazaar to see the clusters of cables going here and there.
The prestigious SICOP Department was directed to get ornamental poles erected for lights. But no one finds any such pole erected in the bazar so far even the design has not been finalized yet.
The PHE Department was asked to get Lion mouth cast iron water tap installed for drinking water and the department has not done any thing in this regard.
The PWD was supposed to lay Dholpur Stone on foot path but no one even finds a piece of such stone laid any where in the bazar.
The Government is wasting money in Valley and has no funds when it comes for the development of Jammu, they alleged.
They have warned the administration not to test the patience of the public of Jammu.
