JAMMU, Mar 4: All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) has demanded reforms in guidelines of PM’s employment package so that it should address individual aspirations of the employees besides providing a reasonable solution to their genuine concerns.
In a statement, president AMEAK, Rubon Saproo said that time has come when the government should re-examine the package and modify its rules so that issues of the employees may get better addressed.
“The current policy of the package is not safeguarding the interests and rights of the employees,” he said.
Saproo appealed J&K LG and CM to consider a change in rules associated with PM’s package so that a new policy should have better options to ensure a healthy balance between work and personal life of an employee.
He also said that package employees serving in Kashmir still face problems of security and service related matters along with feelings of isolation and challenges in maintaining close family bonds because of their working location away from families.
