Chandigarh University launches ‘Prospectus-2013’

Members of J&K Bank and Chandigarh University launching ‘Prospectus-2013’ at Jammu on Wednesday.

JAMMU, May 29: The admission process for various professional courses at Chandigarh University, Gharuan kicked off with the launch of “Prospectus-2013” at J&K Bank’s branch office, here today.
The prospectus was launched by Dr RS Bawa Vice Chancellor, Chandigarh University along with Rakesh Gandotra, Vice president, Zonal Office, J&K Bank.
In accordance to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between J&K Bank and Chandigarh University, the bank will open student facilitation counters at its branches in J&K which will not only help the students of the State to get admission prospectus of Chandigarh University but will also accept online Registration fees on behalf of Chandigarh University and provide financial assistance in the form of educational loan.
Speaking on the occasion, Gandotra said that the prospectus-cum-admission form of the University would be available at branches of J&K Bank across the State in 22 districts and 106 Khidmat Centers in rural areas of the State.
Dr RS Bawa, Vice-Chancellor, Chandigarh University said that with most of the results of 10+2 boards out, the CU, Gharuan office at City Palace road, Kachi Chawni, was witnessing huge rush of students to get their free academic counseling done by the Career experts, so that they are able to choose right career path for themselves.
Earlier during the signing of MoU with J&K Bank, Dr RS Bawa had announced special incentives for facilitating J&K students to take admission in Chandigarh University under the “Super Achiever” scholarship programme.
Any meritorious student from J&K aspiring to be an engineer and figuring in merit list of JEE-2013 (Mains) with State rank upto 500 would be offered 100 per cent tuition fee waiver and students lodging during his academic stay at Chandigarh University would be borne by the management along with free books, uniform, placements in multi-nationals and higher education opportunities.
