NEW DELHI, June 20: Freight rates for the nine-tonne pay load section to Chandigarh and Ludhiana rose by Rs 1,000 in the local truck trannsport market today following less trucks position in the markets as compared to cargo movements.
Transporters attributed the rise in Ludhiana and Chandigarh freight rates to increased cargo movements against tight availability of trucks.
Delhi to Chandigarh and Ludhaiana freight rates were up by by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 17,000 and Rs 19,000.
Elsewhere, other destinations freight rates hovered around overnight levels on some support.
