JAMMU, Mar 1: Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir Sanstha, J&K, today celebrated the foundation day of Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir at (Maha Laxmi Mata Temple), Pacca Danga here today.
Thousand of devotees of Maa Chandi participated in the day long celebrations which commenced with morning Aarti, Hawan followed by community lunch (Bhandara). The devotees were chanting Bhajans in praise of Goddess Chandi. There was festive environment as people from different walks of life visited the temple to seek blessings of Chandi Mata.
Elaborate arrangements were made for the day long celebrations by members of the Committee including Dr D S Jamwal, Sanjay Gandotra, Vinay Sudan and Vikas Singh Jawmal.
It is pertinent to mention here that Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir committee, is arranging the annual Machail Mata Yatra and Sanstha has also recently started work on building of a upcoming temple of Maa Chandi in Daami in the Nagrota area along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The temple will serve as another base point for the Machail Mata Yatra.
