Chander wins excellent sculpture award in China

page11-7JAMMU, June 21: Renowned sculptor from the State, Chander Prakash is leaving for China to work on a monumental sculpture entitled ‘Blessed City’ in Fuzhou city of China.
The project is commissioned by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development of China. This 6m wind and 2m high monumental sculpture will be in bronze for which the mascot presented by Chander Prakash has been adjudged the best.
On completion the sculpture shall be displayed at Fuzhou Silk route for the attraction of tourists. The facial expression and costumes of this sculpture shall bear resemblance to the Dogras of Jammu and Udhampur.
Chander Prakash shall receive an award and supervise his monuments sculpture. He has traveled many countries and participated in many International sculpture symposiums and workshops. He had received many prestigious awards and honors. He will stay in China for one month.
