NEW DELHI, Sept 1: Chana prices eased by 0.11 per cent to Rs 2,844 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators reduced positions amid a weak trend at spot markets on subdued demand.
Expectations of higher output also put pressure on chana prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, chana for delivery in September weakened by Rs 3, or 0.11 per cent, to Rs 2,844 per quintal with an open interest of 99,570 lots.
Similarly, the commodity for delivery in October traded lower by Rs 2, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 2,923 per quintal in 95,570 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in chana futures to subdued demand in the markets against adequate stocks position. (PTI)
