JAMMU, Jan 6: The State Vigilance Organization today produced challan against former PSO of the then DIG Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range.
Challan in case FIR number 21/2012 P/S VOJ was produced against accused Head Constable Amar Paul Singh (No.312/IRP 3rd Bn) of Old Janipura Jammu presently, attached with Anti-Hijacking, Jammu, in the Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge, Udhampur.
The accused Head Constable by virtue of being posted as PSO to the then DIG of Police Udhampur-Reasi Range, had abused his official position and cheated the complainants namely Pritam Singh of Sira Udhampur and others by making them to believe that he could ensure their selection as Constables in Executive Police thereby demanded and accepted Rs 4,30,000/- from them.
Next date of hearing has been fixed for January 30, 2015.
