Challan produced against fraudsters

JAMMU, Dec 1:  Crime Branch, Jammu has produced challan against seven fraudsters for duping an innocent person on the pretext of managing a Government job for his son and daughter.
Challan in case FIR number  23/2012 under Section  419, 420, 120-B RPC P/S Crime Branch, Jammu, was produced  against the accused persons namely Daleep Dhar, resident of near MES Filter Plant Point Udhampur, Jagtar Singh @ Bittu Dentor of  Housing Colony, Udhampur, Bilal Ahmed Handoo @ Doctor Sahib, resident of Firdous Colony Bemina Srinagar, Manzoor Ahmad Khan of  Gamroo (Brar) Tehsil and District Bandipora, Syed Maqbool Hussain Shah of Sonapah Beerwah Badgam, Syed Firdous Hussain of  Sonapah Beerwah Badgam and Mohd Rafiq of  Mandibal Nowshera Lal Bazar Srinagar, before the Court of  Chief Judicial Magistrate Udhampur.
The case against the accused was registered on complaint of  one Manohar Singh Jamwal of Ward number 17, Amwarha, Udhampur, who alleged that to secure  Government jobs for his son and daughter, he paid Rs four lakh to accused Daleep Dhar on the assurance Jagtar Singh @ Bittu Denter  in September 2010. However no appointment order was provided to him. After waiting for a long time, the complainant made enquiries from the accused Daleep Dhar who in turn arranged another meeting of the complainant with accused Mohd Rafiq and Bilal Ahmed Handoo @ Doctor Sahib at Srinagar on the pretext that both these persons were members of the J&K Bank Board and Railway Recruitment Board. The complainant was asked to deposit money in their bank accounts immediately so that they could provide jobs. However, despite depositing an amount of Rs 10, 89,000/- with the accused persons no job/appointment order was provided by the accused persons.
During the course of investigation the records were seized and the account numbers, in which the complainant had deposited the amount, were got freezed.
