Chairperson PWWA inaugurates medical camp

SRINAGAR, June 16: The Chairperson, J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA), K. Vijaya Rajendra, emphasized upon the families of police personnel that frequent medical checkups are necessary to maintain health.
Inaugurating the day-long free medical camp, for the families of police personnel at Police Housing Colony Bemina here today, Mrs, Vijaya advised upon the families of police personnel that frequent medical checkups are necessary to maintain the health properly. She said that doctors are best friends of patients and nothing should be concealed about their health care before the doctors. Any negligence towards the health can lead to dangerous results, she added.
During the camp, prominent doctors from police hospital Srinagar headed by Medical Superintendent, M. S. Koka, treated a large number of patients and provided required medicines and medical assistance to the patients. Various diagnostic tests were conducted.
Mrs Vijaya disclosed that similar awareness camps would be organized by the PAWWA at Armed Police Complex Zewan and other locations for the families of police personnel.
