RAMBAN, Apr 19: Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan today chaired a meeting of Council members and officers to discuss the formulation of District Capex Budget 2022-23.
Vice Chairperson, DDC, Rabia Hamid; BDC Chairpersons, DDC Councilors, besides District Development Commissioner, Mussarat Islam; SSP, Mohita Sharma, Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma, CPO Dr. Kasturi Lal, ACP, Swaran Singh and heads of line departments attended the meeting.
At the outset, the SSP interacted with the BDC Chairpersons and DDC Councilors and assured to extend full support to the Council in the development process.
The DDC Chairperson reviewed the progress on formulation of District Capex Budget 2022-23 besides achievements and status of ongoing projects taken up under last year’s plan.
The Chairperson stressed upon the DDC Councilors and BDC Chairpersons to formulate the budget as per the approved ceiling conveyed by the Finance department. The plan formulation under the Area Development Fund of DDCs, BDCs and PRI grants was also discussed.
The Chairperson asked the PRIs to ensure the formulation of the plan in consultation with down the line Panchayati Raj Institutions. She advised the Council to project only those works/projects which benefit maximum people and could be completed in stipulated time frame.
The DC stressed on thorough review of proposed plan works in the BDCs to avoid duplicity.
Meanwhile, the Council held threadbare discussion on key centrally sponsored schemes of the Education, Health, Youth Services & Sports and Public Works sector which are part of the District Development Plan and Area Development Fund.
