SRINAGAR, Feb 2: Police have registered a case under Arms Act against chairman of Municipal Committee Ashmuqam in district Anantnag for making the vice chairman of the MC hostage at gunpoint and forcibly taking signatures on blank papers.
An official said that vice chairman of Municipal Committee Ashmuqam in district Anantnag, Muhammad Ashraf Wani, had filed a complaint with police at Police Station Ashmuqam in Anantnag district stating that chairman Municipal Committee Ashmuqam Abdul Waheed Bhat abducted him in his vehicle and kept him at an unknown place.
