JAMMU, Sept 9 : The Chairman, Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra today inaugurated newly upgraded and renovated public park at Chougan Salathian, Ward No. 01 of Jammu East Constituency.
Mr. Malhotra, who was the chief guest at the inaugural function, had provided an amount of Rs. 5.58 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for upgradation / renovation of the public facility.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman assured the gathering that he would use best of his resources to solve the problems of the masses and maintained that it is his endeavour to help people in the hour of need.
He also assured to continue to provide more financial assistance from his CDF for development of the Jammu East Constituency.
It may be mentioned here that the public park was in shambles since long and with the initiative of Balbir Singh and Daljeet Singh from Ward No. 1, Jammu East, it was renovated for better public use. While Kota stone has been used for construction of pathways, new wooden benches have been installed and proper fencing has also been erected around the park for its safety.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Ram Sawroop, Raj Singh, Shamsher Singh, Ajay Charak, Jagdev Singh, Jaswant Singh, Sanjeev Thakur (Youth president), Daljeet Singh, Ravinder Singh, Rajjat, Amit, Honey, Madan, Avdesh, Ashwani, Shamsher Singh, Thomas Khokhar , Farooq Salaria and others.
