JAMMU, Nov 23: Three Engineering students from Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) Landran have stood 1st in the northern region and 2nd at national level, in the seventh season of national level competition ‘Techno Champ 2017′,  organized at Pune.
The competition saw the participation of 1,800 teams comprising 3,000-plus students from universities and colleges across the country.
CGC’s Team ECDYSIS comprising fourth year students Shubham Gupta, Babu Kumar Bhardwaj and Rajinder Singh from Electronics and Communication Engineering branch garnered laurels for creating a high precision, low-cost, Local Positioning System (LPS) which when installed in any heavy duty vehicle especially that used by agriculturalists, will allow the driver to navigate and control the vehicle movement without physically being present in the machine.
