SRINAGAR, Feb 14: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Shantmanu today chaired a meeting to review preparations for Parliamentary by-elections of Anantnag and Srinagar Constituencies.
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, District Development Commissioners of Srinagar and Pulwama districts and other concerned were present on the occasion, while Deputy Commissioners of other valley districts participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
The meeting held threadbare deliberations on various aspects regarding smooth conduct of the upcoming by-elections. On the occasion, preparedness for Panchayat elections was also discussed in detail.
The CEO directed the concerned to expedite arrangements necessary for smooth and peaceful conduct of the elections.
