JAMMU, Oct 30: The Chief Executive Officer, IWMP conducted two days extensive tour of Nalthi Panchayat of Bhaderwah in connection with the ongoing ambitious B2V4 Programme of the Government as a visiting officer.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan, CEO, IWMP accompanied by Dil Mir, Additional. Deputy Commissioner, Bhaderwah, Phulail Singh, Assistant Commissioner Development Doda, Sunil Kumar, BDO Bhaderwah and Tehsildar Bhaderwah visited Nalthi Panchayat situated at base camp of famous Kailash Kund Yatra.
The CEO, IWMP along with other officers inspected the Village Haat stall set up the Self Help Groups of ladies at Panchayat Ghar Nalthi, displaying & selling the products made by the Self Help Group members which consist of local fruits, vegetables, soft toys and woolens. He also handed over leisure playing material to the elderly persons of the Panchayat given by the Social welfare Department. TSWO Subash Sharma told that all eligible persons of Panchayat have now been covered under social security schemes.
Addressing the Gram Sabha and PRI members, CEO apprised that the B2V programme of the Govt has bridged the gap between Government and the people and given people an opportunity to put forth their issues before authorities and appraisal of Govt. schemes is also undertaken at the door steps of the villagers which is something unique and empowers the common man.
The officials of the line departments apprised Gram Sabha about various schemes of the Government like Pradhan Mantri Kissan Samman Nidhi, Atal Pension Yojna, Jan Dhan Scheme, Ayushman Golden Health Card and Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani and other measures to strength Panchayti Raj System. The PRIs and Sarpanch raised several issues of development on the occasion. The visiting officer assured to take up all issues with the District Administration. The visiting officer along with ADC Bhaderwah and ACD Doda also handed over Land Holding Pass Books to the inhabitants of the Panchayat on the occasion.
On day two of the B 2V4, the visiting officer along with PRIs inaugurated three lane/drains and protection work in the panchayat which were executed under RDD sector. The GMS Nalthi was also visited and Nasha Mukt Pledge to the Bal Sabha was administrated, some of whom presented patriotic songs on the occasion.
