JAMMU, July 5: A meeting of All J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of State president Vinod Sharma for highlighting the demands and grievances of the ReTs.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma showed his strong resentment against the callous attitude of Director School Education Jammu and Chief Education Officer Kathua who are allegedly defying court orders regarding transfer of regularized ReTs of Kathua. He said that these teachers were transferred vide Govt order No 469 dated 25-06-2014 and even High Court has given a clear cut judgement in favour of regularized ReTs that they should be treated at par with other general line teachers but CEO Kathua has now issued repatriation orders of all the transferred regularized ReTs to their original place of postings and harassing them.
“Even when these teachers approached High Court and got the stay, CEO Kathua and Director School Education Jammu didn’t consider this stay which shows a clear cut harassment of these teachers at the hands of these officers of Education Department which is highly condemned by ReT Forum,” he added and appealed the Chief Minister, Education Minister and Commissioner Secretary School Education to personally intervene in this regard so that the these teachers are not harassed any more.
Others, who spoke in the meeting, included Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Rajesh Jamwal, Surjit Singh, Subash Chander, Ravinder Singh and Rajeet Singh.
